Smartphone for Infinix Mobility
Developed in collaboration with the Italian legendary design house Pininfarina, the Infinix Note 60 Ultra incorporates elements of automotive design into a modern smartphone. The device features a 2.5D contoured frame and clean, linear styling influenced by racing aesthetics. On the rear, it introduces a unichassis camera module that combines the lens system, halo notification light, and active matrix display within a single structure. The smooth, mirror like finish reflects Pininfarina's unibody design approach and its roots in Italian craftsmanship.

The goal was to integrate the unideco architecture not as a module but as a seamless part of the chassis. Structural engineering achieved a minimal 3.4mm camera bump while accommodating advanced lenses. The camera module itself is protected by corning® gorilla® glass victus®, while the main back panel utilizes a durable kevlar-textured composite. These elements are integrated within a high-strength alloy frame featuring a precision-machined micromatte finish.
The core challenge of this project was balancing heritage with transformation: honoring Pininfarina's design legacy while translating its complex, high-performance language into a compact, cost-effective, and mass-producible smartphone. External challenges included achieving complex 3D curvature, ensuring materials that are both aesthetic and durable, and complying with regulatory and rapid tech-evolution demands. Through systematic design translation and close cross-team collaboration, we successfully transformed classic design DNA into a manufacturable product that meets modern user expectations.
The project started in March 2025 in Torino and finished in December 2025 in the same city. It will begin selling in various locations in March 2026.
The Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra combines advanced materials for a premium hand-feel. Interaction is enhanced by the Industry-first active matrix display, which enables dynamic notifications and personalization. This sits within the world’s first uni-chassis camera module, a unified structure that reduces the camera bump. The integration of a robust alloy frame and protective glass strengthens the device, improving durability and ensuring reliable performance.
Leveraging Pininfarina’s 95-year automotive design heritage, this project develops a unique, sustainable high-end design language for Infinix. We translated sports car lines, robust structure, and clean aesthetics into the NOTE 60 Ultra's unideco camera system, continuous curved glass, and dynamic lighting. This "performance-driven form" concept boosts product recognition and premium appeal, setting a new benchmark for mobile design.
Inspired by Pininfarina's legendary design philosophy, this project sought to translate a sports car's essence into a personal device. The principles of sculpted aerodynamics, chassis-like structural integrity, and fluid, emotive lines provided the foundation. This ethos guided every curve of the NOTE 60 Ultra, resulting in its seamless 2.5D screen and open-frame camera architecture, embodying a synthesis of aesthetic elegance and engineered performance.
