Swim Jet for iGarden
The iGarden Swim Jet X Series is a cordless swim jet system designed to enable continuous swimming in residential pools without permanent installation. Unique Properties
iGarden Swim Jet X Series is a portable swim machine that creates a powerful current in home pools, allowing continuous swimming in place. Unlike traditional swim jets that need costly installation and hazardous poolside wiring, it is fully cordless, powered by a wheeled suitcase-style lithium battery. Users simply roll it out, place the unit in the pool, and control speed via smartphone app. It delivers up to 3.5 m/s flow, 10 hours runtime, and works in pools as small as 8.2 × 8.2 ft.

Production Technology
The system physically separates power from propulsion to eliminate wiring. The main unit utilizes a Stainless Steel Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor enclosed in an IP68-rated, marine-grade impact-resistant polymer housing. The power source is a portable IP65-rated high-energy-density Lithium-ion battery. A unique triangular nozzle was engineered using advanced fluid dynamics to boost wave efficiency, creating a stable linear flow path that allows swimming just 11.8 inches from the outlet.
Design Challenge
The primary creative challenge was delivering a massive 1000W output entirely through a portable battery without hardwired connections. Strict safety regulations near water required an innovative physical decoupling of the power source. Engineering the fluid dynamics to ensure the water current remained stable for professional athletes in compact pools required extensive iterative prototyping. The system also needed to be extremely safe and gentle enough for children during family recreation.
Project Duration
The project started in January 2024 in Shenzhen, China, and the final production model was completed in December 2025. The product will be officially exhibited at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, United States, in January 2026. Pre-sales will commence across North America and Europe from mid-March to May 2026, with official global retail availability starting at the end of May 2026.
Operation Flow
Interaction is redefined as a state of effortlessness. By eliminating cables and permanent setup, the system can be freely positioned by a single user, turning what was once a technical procedure into a simple, fluid gesture. The experience is guided by immediacy rather than instruction—placing the unit into water, subtly adjusting the flow, and initiating movement through a minimal interface. Control is reduced to a single point of interaction, whether physical or digital, removing layers of complexity traditionally associated with such systems. In line with the philosophy of Artful Living Technology, the design allows technology to recede. It does not ask to be managed; instead, it quietly sustains the environment, enabling users to remain immersed in the experience rather than the mechanism behind it.
Research
We conducted user research globally to understand aquatic fitness barriers. Participants included fifty households with children and professional athletes. Testing revealed families needed gentle currents for kids. Professional swimmers required a powerful 3.5 meters per second flow for rigorous training. This insight drove our adjustable cordless design. By fitting compact pools from 8.2 by 8.2 feet upward, it makes professional health and family fun highly accessible to absolutely anyone.
Inspiration
Inspired by a quiet contradiction, the project addresses the desire for continuous swimming in private pools that are often too small for it. Rather than relying on fixed infrastructure, exposed wiring, and technical complexity, it separates power from propulsion to create a mobile, autonomous system. Guided by Artful Living Technology, the design reduces intervention and restores spatial clarity, making technology a quiet enabler of fluid, intuitive living.
