Armchair for Shenzhen De-Sign Co., Ltd
This armchair is inspired by the sinuous and light lines of nature, mainly of a leaf. The design is simple but effective and thanks to the production technology of the curved plywood and the specific shape, the armchair will be able to flex slightly according to who sits and the weight of the person. In the upper part there is a comfortable shelf for magazines or books or any other items within reach during a small rest on the leaf armchair.

Green was chosen for the color of the cushion, a color that is very current and that will be particularly in vogue this year and also in the next ones. The main material for the production of the project is folded plywood. Thanks to the wood, which is a flexible material and the holes in the back, this armchair will adapt comfortably to any type of person. In the part behind the backrest, a useful space has been created to place books or magazines that are normally read on an armchair.

Certainly the hardest part in design is always creating a product that is useful, very beautiful and the least expensive possible at the production level with recyclable or eco friendly materials.
The project started in December 2021 in Padova and finished in febraury 2022 in Padova.
This armchair has a simple style but with a great visual effect. It fits very well in different environments, from the most luxurious and classic with a touch of design but also to a simpler, youthful or even playful environment. In the back part near the backrest there is a comfortable space to rest magazines or books and always have them. Thanks to the holes and the flexible wood, the armchair adapts comfortably to our weight.
I started doing an in-depth market and style research by looking at the various manufacturers of furniture, designers and existing products. I used google, pinterest, behance and the like for my web search, even magazines like Elle Decor or Marclaire Maison. The first and fundamental rules in design are to create a product that is above all useful, innovative and also beautiful. The goal was to create a product that could become iconic, simple but with a high visual impact and useful.
This armchair with a simple but unique and comfortable style is inspired by the sinuous shapes of nature, mainly of the leaf. Versatility in different environments and thanks also to the qualities of the construction materials, make it an extremely unique design.
