Through interdisciplinary work with stakeholders (designers, engineers, ergonomists, physiotherapists and workers) to transfer efforts from exo structure to user's body. The result was an exoskeleton that empowers workers, protecting muscles, joints and bones. It's comfortable, washable, anti-electrostatic, anti-odor, with flame retardant and bacteriostatic. It connects IoT to collect data and analyze activities through sensors, supporting healthy and safe work, avoiding repetitive injuries.
Started in October 2018, in Brazil. The project finished in July 2019, in Brazil.
The EXYONE has been designed to be dressed and undressed by operator in a fast way, not requiring any kind of support. The wearable backpack allows a fast and autonomous use. This takes advantage of both, simplified the use and transfer of efforts from the exo arms structures to the body, in a gradual manner, decreasing the body efforts of a specific muscular structure. The sequence to wear is: 1. Release the waist, chest locks, and buckle; 2. Open the exoskeleton arms to dress up; 3. Attach and adjust the straps, waist and chest buckles; 4. Adjust the strap under the arm; 5. Finally, adjust the level of lift.
Desk Field, Focus Groups, Consumer Insights, Trend Mappings. We collect all data through immersive process including consumer, designers and multidisciplinary teams (marketing, engineer, anthropology, etc.). Objective: Bring innovation and differentiation to Latin America market. Method: Consumer-Centric Insights with Design based approach to solving problems. Steps: Research (map and understand), Conceptualize (alternative generation), Visualize (renderings), Realize (prototype) and Implement.
The main inspiration was to offer the Brazilian market equipment that is accessible even to small and medium sized companies, which previously had no access to imported equipment on the market due to cost and difficulty of maintenance. Another inspiration is to have a user centered design, the product is developed based on the variety of the Brazilian population (biotype, sex, age), offering the best ergonomics and low maintenance in this market.
