Stool for Misaki Kiyuna
This is a new piece of furniture that integrates chairs and lighting. A chair for reading books was designed because the time spent at home has increased due to the influence of the new coronavirus. Lights turn on in response to people in the dark. This chair is easy to assemble and use. There are two sizes for children/women and men. The stand serves as a backrest and is very charming when a child sits on it. A lamp stool that can be enjoyed in small spaces.

When we sit in a chair, it illuminates our hands brightly. The light stand acts as a backrest. It's a chair for reading, but it can also be used as a side table and lighting by placing it on the bedside.

I had a hard time deciding the angle of my legs. Since the overall balance changes depending on the angle, I adjusted it little by little with the mockup.
The Lamp stool was designed in Okinawa in 2022.
This chair is used by assembling four parts: seat, feet, stand, and lighting. The position of the lighting can be adjusted back and forth.
Japanese houses have small floor plans and little space for furniture, so I researched furniture to put in a small space. Since chairs take up space in furniture, it was a new proposal by giving the backrest multiple functions of lighting.
Due to the epidemic of the new coronavirus, the amount of time spent at home has increased. I designed a chair with integrated lighting for reading books in order to enrich my time alone. This work was inspired by performers who were spotlighted on stage. Because it was similar to reading a book with a light in a dark room. It turns on and off in the dark in response to people. The blinking appearance looks like a firefly that emits a fantastic and gentle light. I named it Hotaru in Japanese.
