Production Technology

The process of using integrated injection molding, and nylon is the main material. The back uses high elastic knitted mesh fabrics.

Design Challenge

During the production process of the chair, the assembly of the double -layer frame structure and knitted fabric is extremely complicated.

Project Duration

The project began in May 2020, completed in April 2021, and was launched in May 2021. The entire project lasted for a year.

Operation Flow

The chair can be dumped backwards 23 °, and at the same time, it can be locked through the switch of the chassis. The handrail can rise up and down, slide back and forth, and rotate left and right. You can adjust the depth of the cushion according to different usage habits.

Research

The Swift wants to break the conventional office chair back design. It adopts a new double -layer frame design. The inner frame is more curved, so that users can better wrap them in the mesh when they fall backwards.

Inspiration

The shape of the seat is taken from the posture of a swift, and the shape of the lower end of the back frame is like the tail of a swift, symbolizing a free and positive attitude. At the same time, due to the special shape of the lower end of the back frame, the mesh structure of this seat is different from other seats. The inward mesh structure forms a more concave arc, which can provide users with better back wrapping.

Project Overview

Swift Office Chair has been a Bronze winner in the Office Furniture Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively.
