Production Technology
Color scheme: inspired by the skin of a chameleon, the exterior features a blend of three Green hues: Horsell Green, Arbor and Steppe Green. The entire color scheme from the dark green of the front to the emerald green of the rear while increasing the visual effect, also allows the body to have a certain degree of optical psychedelic, make the car with chameleon camouflage so as to better adapt to a variety of natural scenes.
Design Challenge
In the process of product design, it is difficult to innovate its structure. In the end, we got inspiration from the frog's leg bone structure and made innovations in structure.
Project Duration
The project starts at Qingdao University of Technology in August 2022 and ends at Qingdao University of Technology in February 2023.
Operation Flow
This product is a large survival all terrain vehicle used for scientific research and survey in extreme environments. This terrain vehicle has a large living and scientific research carriage. Through the analysis of different natural terrain and climate, it is suitable for a variety of harsh natural conditions, so as to provide better living and scientific research space for scientific researchers. The all terrain vehicle is an all-weather amphibious multi-function vehicle. By switching driving modes, it can drive in snow, desert, beach, Gobi, mountain, water and other complex terrain. At the same time, the modular design enables the terrain vehicle to have more form switching for survey, navigation and stationing, so as to better meet the needs of scientific researchers.
Research
Through the modular design, this product has made new innovations in appearance and structure. In addition to the basic common mode, it has added a crawler mode for uneven and complex terrain, and a garrison mode for living and living.
Inspiration
With the advancement of current technology and the increase of people's curiosity about unknown things, the demand for the performance of exploration tools has also increased. Inspired by the characteristics of chameleons living in the tropical rainforest to adapt to various environments, this product combines the characteristics of existing scientific research vehicles and makes new innovations in functions.
Project Overview
Explorer Scientific Research Vehicle has been a Bronze winner in the Futuristic Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
