Design Challenge
The intricate handcrafted blown glass vessels showcases various size and forms in each production, enhancing the product’s individuality. However, the variability makes it hard to establish a standart sizing fort he copper fittings. Despite these obstacles, the inherent uniqueness and the quality of craftsmanship allow the product to be completed with a personal and special touch.
Project Duration
The project, completed in December 2023, was exhibited in the Signature section at the Paris Maison&Objet Fair in January 2024.
Operation Flow
The Su’me table lamp, powered by city electricity, includes a dimmer feature that enables users to customize their experience by adjusting the light intensity to suit the ambience of their space. This feature enhances the product’s practicality and user-friendliness. The Kefi table lamp shines as a contemporary lighting fixture, excelling both in functionality and aesthetics, thanks to its user-friendly features and unique design.
Research
The Su'me table lamp, designed with a combination of blown glass and copper, is one of the products showcased in "An Epiphany in Sustainable Delight," a collection commemorating Architect Sebnem Buhara's 25th anniversary in the industry. Inspired by forms found in nature, the lamp's design interprets these amorphous shapes through craftsmanship. Standing out with its unique design, Su’me stands as more than a lighting fixture; it embodies the essence of exquisite artwork.
