Unique Properties
MS Andiamo is a steel hull, aluminium superstructure sloop type motorsailer, exterior design and naval architecture by Ginton Naval Architects, and the interior and exterior areas design by Baz Yacht Design. She is under construction in Ark Yacht, Bodrum Turkey and she will start her journeys in Mediterrenean summer 2024 for her U.S based owner.

Production Technology
The main idea was to make a unique interior design and within a couple of meetings with the owner, the idea of using arcs, soft lines, curves and smoothened edges. And never foget that this is eventually a sailing yacht. Soft lines and smoothened edges will be helpful in high seas navigations.
Design Challenge
When we get to know our client, we realised that they are into goldish and bronze details with smooth lines which may direct the design into a regular classic interior design. The aim was also to make a unique timeless design. Therefore we have blended "the classic" with some modern, sophisticated design features. Which made all sides happy at the final meeting with a game-changer interior design for luxury motorsailers.
Project Duration
Project started in Bodrum, Turkey in late 2022, prelim interior design stage was handled in Marmaris and Antalya, Turkey and delivered in late 2023.
Operation Flow
1) Know your client, understand their taste, way of life, desires 2) Colored 3D sketches for the main areas like salon and master cabin 3) First meeting with material selection at the shipyard with the client 4) Detailed 3D interior design with photorealistic renderings for each individual area 5) A couple online meetings with USA based client. 6) Final material selection meeting.
Research
Prelim design meeting with the client and the owner representative was quite productive. Therefore most of the materials, color schemes, prelim sketches for interiors were selected within the keel laying. Moreover, we can not underestimate our good cooperation with the owner representative, yard and the owners.
Inspiration
A new dimension to luxury motorsailer interior design. MS Andiamo... the lady of soft lines, arcs, smooth edges which makes her different and unique from the similar type motorsailers.
Project Overview
MS Andiamo 44 m Motorsailer has been a Bronze winner in the Yacht and Marine Vessels Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
