Unique Properties

The innovative structure endows the product with modular installation features, allowing all parts to be replaceable. When a part of the light fixture is damaged, there is no need to discard the entire fixture; simply replace the damaged part to restore it to its original condition. This approach promotes a more environmentally friendly and sustainable lifestyle.

Production Technology
The light fixtures are made from bioplastics and recycled aluminum, ensuring their strength and durability. Utilizing safe wireless track lighting technology, the product is easy to assemble and disassemble. The base, lamp post, lamp head, lampshade, and power supply components are all detachable, allowing for easy replacement when damaged. Additionally, the modular components help reduce production costs.
Design Challenge
The primary challenge of the research lies in achieving an environmentally sustainable design for the light fixtures. This involves developing a connection method that is both sturdy and easy to assemble and disassemble, alongside safe wireless track lighting technology. Ensuring environmental friendliness while selecting materials that offer durability and aesthetic appeal is crucial. The innovative structural design allows for the height of the light to be adjusted freely.
Project Duration
The project started in Shenzhen in February 2024 and was completed in Shenzhen in September 2024.
Operation Flow
Users can combine the light fixture modules through a simple plug-and-play method, with adjustable light positions that can be moved up and down. The fixtures can be remotely controlled using a remote, allowing users to switch the lights on and off, and adjust brightness and color temperature. Users can also change different lampshades according to their preferences. The modular design makes it convenient for users to freely combine the product and replace damaged parts based on their needs.
Research
Through long-term research, we found that damage to parts of floor lamps, table lamps, and other lighting fixtures often leads to the entire fixture being discarded, resulting in resource waste. To address this issue, we are committed to creating a modular lighting system where each module can be individually replaced and easily installed, allowing intact parts to be reused.
Inspiration
When a frequently used part of a light fixture gets damaged, we often discard the entire fixture, which is quite wasteful. To address this issue, we have designed a reusable light fixture. The modular design allows users to freely combine light modules according to their needs, creating different lighting effects and styles. Additionally, by using recyclable and eco-friendly materials in its manufacturing, we also reduce the impact on the environment.
Project Overview
EcoMod Modular Lighting Fixtures has been a Iron winner in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design award category in the year 2024 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change.
