This is a polyhedron refrigerator, it has red wine storage, ice making, keep fresh triad function. It combines wine cabinet and refrigerator two big modules. And its characteristic is can adjust toward according to indoor layout, and through the combination of magnetic adsorption. This is different from existing embedded in decorating the refrigerator of fixed mode. In addition, with modular combination refrigerator can be customized according to user's demand and choice.

The design challenge is to change the user's idea, that is to say to the refrigerator in embedded ambry of fixed puts model change ideas, and make people easy to accept the rationality of the interpretation. Project Duration

Operation Flow

Wine cabinet and refrigerator two module, users can move a change of direction to adapt to the external environment. For example, the product is located between the kitchen and sitting room, so You can toward the kitchen refrigerator and wine toward the living room to put, so that a product can meet the demand of the use of the two environments at the same time. In addition, the refrigerator on the operation panel and digital display, convenient for the user to manipulate.

Research

At the early stage of the product research and development, makes the type analysis to the existing market refrigerator, on the function of the existing refrigerator actual investigation, puts forward the design idea of combination of wine and refrigerators. And for people to make a market survey, and then will collect data analysis. This design by CaoWeizhi, ZhangAnzhen, NiShan, QiHongrui, ZhangXudong, ZhengShuwen, ChengHong, YangDonglin, participation and design experiments. Eventually to offer effective results.

Inspiration

Initial design idea is used in not only can hope the fridge in the kitchen, it should be suitable for any environment. Therefore, refrigerator need to adapt to space environment, together with the user's use, as well as a polyhedron can rotate. And in the form of a modular combination to meet the integral design of the storage and keep food fresh demand. Thus carry out the design work.

Polyhedral Refrigerator has been a Silver winner in the Home Appliances Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
