Door Lever Handle for KAWAJUN
This handle is inspired by a single triangle.By designing a lever handle with the minimal element of a triangle, The designer had to sculpt the element to leave a powerful impression. The conventional neck and grip are well integrated into the design to retain the triangular theme throughout the lever handle. The difference would be the simple but strong shape. By designing a lever handle with the minimal element of a triangle, the designer had to minimize the element to leave a powerful impression. The conventional lever handle's neck and grip are well integrated into the design to maintain the triangular theme throughout the lever handle. With this, every viewing angle of the handle would offer a view of triangular surfaces. This lever handle is made of aluminium and brass that comes in several finishes, allowing it to suit various interior themes.

To retain its sharp design while being safe and comfortable to grip, the element had to be sculpted. The designer focused to maintain the balance as a lever handle while integrating the neck and grip into the handle design.
The product was prototyped and launched in Tokyo, Japan in 2013.
This handle delivers the sense of artistry that gives users the impression that they are entering a classy space. In a way, the sculptural nature of the handle acts as a threshold to distinguish a space.
Understanding that the triangle is recognized as a rather sharp element, the designer understood the importance of integrating a comfortable grip in it's design as well as ensuring that it's sharpness would not cause injury through use. The designer developed prototypes and engaged many people to interact with the handle to ensure its comfort and safety. Major emphasis was put into this stage as it had to function well as a lever handle but also achieve the designer's goal of the handle being a statement piece.
The designer wanted to challenge the aesthetic value of conventional lever handles. The goal was to design and produce a hardware piece worthy of being one of the most iconic lever handles in the world. With this, the designer approached the lever handle as though it were a sculpture. The triangle was chosen as the design's foundation due to its bold nature.
