The curve above the front side reveals the receivers that are compatible with various infrared remote controls, thus forming the overall visual center.

Unique Properties

The Compact Air Purifier can blend in multitype of small scale interiors to fit target customer's living condition credit to its 200m3/h CADR into a small volume. Curves at top center reveals a receiver matched with multitype of infrared remote controller, creating an overall visual center. Corner curves and clean design illuminates its elegant impression. It merges various parts such as the filter support parts, some appearance parts and the air tunnel parts into one. Then, the product has only 5 main parts, which greatly reduces the cost.

Research

CAP shares external and internal parts and rearranges assembling method through its innovative wind tunnel design, reducing manufacture complexity and cost. Such design enables lower retail prices and allows massive low-income population a chance to improve indoor air quality.

People in developing regions are facing the situation of low income and air quality issue. So the design team try to create a innovative wind tunnel to reduce manufacture complexity and cost. The design aim to allow massive low-income population a chance to improve indoor air quality. So, we redesigned the structure of the product and merged various parts such as the filter support parts, some appearance parts and the wind tunnel parts into one. Then, this product has only 5 main parts, which greatly reduces the volume and costs.

Project Overview

Compact Air Purifier has been a Silver winner in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Products Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Silver A' Design Award celebrates top-tier designs that embody excellence and innovation. This award acknowledges creations that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, reflecting the designer's deep understanding and skill.
