By unzipping the pillow, the tubes inside can be taken out to adjust the height. This pillow can effectively support the neck, hold the backside of the head, prevent the neck from not lying on or being pressed by the pillow, thus correcting the curve of the cervical spine and improving their sleep.

Unique Properties
Darwin cervical pillow is designed for the sleeping problems of curved necks and the lower necks not lying on the pillow. It adopts a two-section design, which is filled with down and pipe tubes. By unzipping the pillow, the tubes inside can be taken out to adjust the height. This pillow can effectively support the neck, hold the backside of the head, prevent the neck from not lying on or being pressed by the pillow, thus correcting the curve of the cervical spine and improving their sleep.
Production Technology
This cervical pillow is ergonomically designed with a quilting process for section-dividing. Two-thirds of it is the headrest area and one-third is the cervical spine relief area. The head section is stuffed with high fluffy down, while the cervical section is filled with Japanese pipe tubes, providing users with comfortable support and efficient breathability. With a 100% cotton pillow top, it can naturally fit the curve of the head, thus adapting to different sleeping positions.
Design Challenge
Different users have varied requirements for the supporting of the cervical spine and the holding of the backside of the head during sleep. How to universally meet their requirements is the biggest problem confronted during R&D. Based on ergonomics, the design team select the highly fluffy down and breathable Japanese pipe tubes as fillings, which keeps the pillow exceedingly soft and comfortable and perfectly fit the curves of users. Thus, this pillow can be universally adapted to anyone.
Operation Flow
This cervical pillow adopts a two-section design which is stuffed with down and Japanese pipe tubes respectively, and its surface is made of 100% cotton that can fit head and neck contour of users and keep the respiratory tract open. When the user is asleep, his head and his body weight can form reverse traction to relieve cervical pressure, relax the neck muscles and correct the cervical curve.
Research
The study shows that a correct sleeping posture needs the head, neck and body in the same line. Whether the pillow is too high or too low is not conducive to relieving the neck or guaranteeing a correct sleeping posture during deep sleep. Ergonomically designed, this pillow adopts high-end imported materials to protect the necks of users, providing them with a comfortable and healthy sleeping experience.
Inspiration
The back of the neck not touching the pillow during sleep and cervical scoliosis are the major problems faced by many people. The design team established a research model based on the sleeping habits of different people, and designed this ergonomic cervical pillow inspired by the position of the head and neck during sleep.
Project Overview
Da Vinci Home Textile Pillow Core has been a Iron winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2021 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
