Production Technology
The first sketches were done with paper and pencil. The digitalization stage is carried out in Rhino.
Design Challenge
Embedding circuits in the clock in an appropriate manner, inventing a simple and appealing face for the clock, and regarding the clock mission as homeware were the most challenging regards.
Project Duration
It started in Vancouver, Canada, in March 2021 and finished in January 2022.
Operation Flow
The invention of Lightime was with the ambition that the modern technology used in the design presents simplicity and aestheticism. Eliminating clock hands and the middle circle of the clock page, using the light sign on an unpretentious page to show time as easy to determine, and making a relationship with light and space were considered factors.
Research
Lightime is designed on the base to use modern technology in combination with usability and aesthetics. The research is done by investigating books and the internet.
Inspiration
The heart of Lightime bits by flying light through an infinite white circle. This light moves and shines to show the importance of time. Many people get stressed watching the clock. This simple and modern face of Lightime inspires calm in mind. Also, it is based on intelligent advanced technology that lets the user set the color of the clock to furniture.
