Clickseal cap is innovative, fun, easy and fast to operate, without any threading. The traditional bottle cap has been around for over a century and has served its purpose well. However, with the goal of refining and focusing on the drinking experience itself. Following user research, it was decided to redesign the cap and the process of opening and closing it. The cap is opened with a simple quarter twist and closes with a gentle push until you hear the click, indicating that the cap is securely closed and leakproof. Enjoy.

However, we were asked to develop an innovative drinking bottle. We chose to focus on and refine the drinking experience itself. Following user research, we decided to redesign the cap and the process of opening and closing it.

Production Technology
The Clickseal is made in Israel by Source company and produced from durable and quality materials: Quality bottle container Tritan by Eastman Uniqe formula of Acetal cap Silicone sealing PE tube BPA+PVC Free
Design Challenge
The action and solution are easy and straightforward, but the engineered patented cap was definitely not, we had years of tryouts to develop the best solution with the best materials for heavy-duty use. After hundreds of extreme testing - like throwing bottles on the floor at various angles and heights, we developed our own unique material for the cover and cup. We used focus groups for every revision development until we got the finalized solution. The hardest part was to find the exact balance of the silicone seal, so it would Click and be fun and easy as we wanted it to be, without compromising the sealing mission. That took dozens of revisions.

Operation Flow
The cap is opened with a simple quarter twist and closes with a gentle push until you hear the CLICK, indicating that the cap is securely closed and leakproof. As there is no threading, there is also no need to tighten the cap with force - One of the most significant advantages of this new cap design is that it can be opened and closed with minimal effort therefore much easier to use for everybody, children, people with arthritis or other conditions that affect hand mobility, or just when training, traveling outdoors or just driving a car. The new bottle cap design is sleek and modern. The cap is available in a range of colors. All bottles are made of Tritan (BPA-free). The designed cap comes in 2 different bottle models, ACT a single-wall water bottle and ECO a double-walled daily bottle with an insulating space between the walls to prevent the bottle from sweating.
Research
Our incentive was to innovate the experience for the user, we dedicated a great effort to finalizing the concept, to have the most fun out of the simplest action, such as opening and closing the bottle cap without compromising on the leakproof sealing.
Inspiration
In the process of enhancing the bottle-drinking experience, we were inspired by the tubing industry that uses irrigation connectors. We looked at a simple daily garden hose connector, that was the first inspiration, following that principle, We developed a revolutionary cap that opens and closes with an intuitive "click" motion.

Clickseal Water Bottle has been a Iron winner in the Outdoor Gear and Camping Equipment Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
