Design Challenge
This series formulates a series of standardized technology and improves production efficiency. The products have passed pressure, torque, and box tests. Although the KD module disassembly structure has brought great challenges to the design, flat packaging can save more transportation costs, and users can buy higher cost -effective products.
Project Duration
The project started in Shenzhen in January 2023 and completed in Shenzhen in September 2023
Operation Flow
This series of products can cover a number of scenarios in which it can be either upholstered seating or turned into storage furniture.The upholstered cushion has a front and back side,the front side is upholstered,and when turned over it becomes a countertop that can be used for storage.
Research
With the development of the times,the boundaries of home space gradually blurred,people's functional definition of living space has become more and more open,the furniture has long broken through the concept of home. From the previous huge dull to today's miniaturization,lightweight,flexible.Furniture is no longer a simple functional requirements and fill the space props,it is a collection of contemporary lifestyle,functional needs,aesthetics and personality of a carrier.
Inspiration
Inspired by contemporary geometric abstraction art, combined with the lifestyle and aesthetics of modern young people, adopted fashion colors and simple lines to add a unique charm to their lives.
Project Overview
Lewis Bench has been a Bronze winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
