Design Challenge
The most difficult factor in the emergence of the design was the idea of being completely original and with the highest level of visual power. From the moment the design began to emerge on paper to the tightening of the last screw in production, great attention was paid to visual detail and material quality. In order to be a timeless design, it was aimed to maintain the same visual power even after years.
Project Duration
The project started in Turkey in June 2023 and finished in Turkey in August 2023 and was exhibited at the Istanbul furniture fair in January 2024.
Operation Flow
It does not have any working principles. It consists of four fixed columns and shelves fixed in different directions.
Research
While researching the design, I examined dozens of current showcase designs and in order to have a unique design that would be different from all current showcase designs, I researched hundreds of visuals and videos from all fields, recorded the visual videos I deemed necessary, collected the best details here and brought them together, and as a result, I came up with the VENTURI design.
Inspiration
My inspiration for creating the project is my passion for automobiles. While designing, I was inspired by the engine designs of super sports cars. The fact that they are complex but also in order allowed me to come up with this design. The engine cylinder arrangement of automobiles also became my source of inspiration.
Project Overview
Venturi Showcase has been a Iron winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change. These designs are a testament to the skill and dedication of their creators, showcasing their ability to address real-world challenges through thoughtful design.
