Drawing inspiration from the aesthetic form of AI glasses, it symbolizes the foresight and innovation of the AI era. Grounded in ergonomics, every curve of the seat is meticulously designed to perfectly contour to the body, delivering an unparalleled experience of comfort.

Production Technology
We have meticulously selected four different densities of foam to provide zoned support across various parts of the sofa, including the seat cushion, backrest and head and neck areas. This results in a distinctively layered seating experience that combines the firm support of harder foams with the cozy envelopment of softer ones, tailored to individual preferences. The high-resilience fabric covering the sofa surface is perforated with three-dimensional ventilation holes, promoting air circulation to reduce dampness and stuffiness, maintaining a consistently dry and comfortable exterior over time.
Design Challenge
Creative Challenges and Obstacles Overcome Creative Challenge: The hardest part of this design activity was balancing customization options with sustainability goals. Ensuring that the sofa could be personalized while maintaining eco-friendly standards required innovative material selection and design processes. Obstacles Overcome: Historical Perspective: Traditional furniture design often prioritizes aesthetics and cost over sustainability. Shifting this paradigm required rethinking the entire production process. Social Perspective: Consumer awareness and demand for sustainable products vary widely. Educating potential customers about the benefits of eco-friendly materials was crucial. Laws and Regulations: Compliance with environmental regulations and standards added complexity to material sourcing and production. Production Possibilities: Finding suppliers for high-quality, sustainable materials was challenging. We had to build new partnerships and sometimes modify production techniques. Information Availability: Limited data on the long-term performance of sustainable materials necessitated extensive testing and research. Technology: Integrating advanced manufacturing technologies to ensure both customization and sustainability without compromising quality was a significant technical hurdle. By addressing these challenges, we created a sofa that not only meets consumer demands for personalization but also aligns with our commitment to sustainability.
Project Duration
The sofa took 12 months to develop and was available in 2023.

This sofa offers a rich array of customization options, featuring a diverse palette of colors and textures, ensuring that each piece uniquely reflects the personal taste and style of its owner. It transcends mere furniture to become an expression of personalized space. In our material selection, we uphold a commitment to sustainability by utilizing resources such as organic cotton, recycled polyester fibers, and high-density eco-friendly foams, underscoring the brand's steadfast dedication to green living.
Research
Design Research Overview Type of Research: Qualitative design research on a customizable and sustainable sofa. Research Objectives: Explore customization options. Assess demand for sustainable furniture. Identify effective sustainable materials. Evaluate personalized design's impact. Methodology: Mixed-methods approach with interviews, focus groups, surveys, and material testing. Data Collection and Research Tools: Interviews: Interior designers and enthusiasts. Focus Groups: Potential customers. Surveys: Online distribution. Material Testing: Lab tests on fabrics and foams. Participants: 50 designers, 100 potential customers, 200 survey respondents. Tested 10 fabrics (organic cotton, recycled polyester) and 5 foams (high-density eco-friendly). Results: High value on customization and unique designs. 80% willing to pay more for eco-friendly furniture. Organic cotton and recycled polyester are durable and comfortable. Eco-friendly foams provide excellent support and reduce environmental impact. Insights and Impacts: Personalization and sustainability drive consumer choices. Sustainable and customizable options enhance brand loyalty. Using sustainable materials reduces carbon footprint. Real-Life Effects: Business: Increased sales and customer engagement. AI Vision Sofa has been a Golden winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2024 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
