Unique Properties
This lamp captures the phoenix's rebirth and immortality. Crafted with intricate glasswork, it evokes the creature's fiery essence. The metal frame houses electrical components, while strategically placed lamps cast an ethereal glow. Additional lights illuminate the body, and light strips accentuate the neck and eyes. Ethereal light dances along the feathered edges.

Production Technology
The chandelier's body and head are constructed of bronze metal, encapsulating the electrical wiring and light sources. The feathers are crafted from glass. The internal light source utilizes LED up-and-down lighting, while the feather edges are illuminated by LED strips. The purpose of the strips is to create a refraction of light within the glass feathers, simulating the effect of fire and generating intricate patterns with the feathers' shadows.
Design Challenge
As the phoenix is a mythical and imaginary creature, transferring its essence to a lighting product proved challenging. The design phase also presented challenges in positioning the light sources in a way that provided ambient lighting while also refracting light through the feathers to convey a fiery sensation. The technical aspects, due to the product’s large size, were not without their difficulties, particularly in cable management, ensuring proper connections, and achieving balance.
Project Duration
This project was conceived and designed in Tehran, Iran, over three months in 2024.
Operation Flow
As a historical and cultural symbol, the phoenix inherently evokes feelings of familiarity and warmth in the user. The warm colors used in the body, reminiscent of fire, convey a sense of warmth to the environment. The concealment of light sources prevents glare, and the combination of intimate and visually calming environmental themes provides the user with a sense of comfort and tranquility.
Research
For the theoretical section, historical sources such as books and articles were utilized. Online resources like Google and the Gemini AI were employed to supplement this research. For the design and inspiration, visual references from ancient texts and illustrations depicting the phoenix were consulted.
Inspiration
Eternal Flame is a pendant lamp inspired by the phoenix, a mythical creature renowned for its immortality and rebirth. Symbolizing transformation and renewal through cyclical destruction and regeneration, the phoenix, particularly its association with fire and the evolutionary process, serves as a captivating source of inspiration for this lamp. The fusion of history, culture, and deep symbolism gives this lamp depth and artistic complexity, elevating it beyond a mere light source.
