Wall Lamp for Maytoni
Double Moon is a gravitational capture phenomenon where, in addition to a permanent natural satellite, the Moon, the Earth has a second, temporary satellite. It was this rare phenomenon that inspired these models. To convey this effect, simple geometric shapes were chosen and an laconic silhouette was created. Various lighting effects were also used to create glare on walls and on glass elements. The developers also used a mirror gradient on the glass to hide the fasteners.

The collection was inspired by a rare astronomical phenomenon - the "Double Moon." Various technologies have been used to create a lamp with a mysterious and bewitching effect. For example, lights were hidden in the base on both sides and covered with matte diffusers to create soft lighting. Glass spheres are painted with a mirrored tinted gradient that reflects light and creates incredible patterns on the walls, and smooth highlights appear on the glass itself.

The collection consists of a metal base, inside which there are two LED boards, above and below. They are covered with a matte diffuser, which creates a soft, comfortable light. The light re-reflects from the mirror gradient on the glass spheres and creates spectacular lighting on the wall. The luminous flux of lamps is large enough for a wall lamp, and therefore it will suit a wide variety of functions in the interior. Models are made in three colors: dark nickel, brass, black.
The most important task was to convey the mysterious cosmic image of the double moon so that the models looked very laconic and spectacular. For this, many hand-drawn sketches were created to find a successful and simple at first glance design. This could only be achieved through LED technology and gradient staining of the glass.
The project started in January 2024 in Moscow and finished in January 2025 in Moscow.
Models can be installed vertically and horizontally. This creates different applications in space. The collection has a fairly versatile design and laconic shape. This allows you to use models in different interior styles. Due to the significant light flux, the lamps can be used next to the bed, desk and as additional lighting.
During the study, the properties of light were studied in order for light to create beautiful glare on the wall. For this, different glasses were used, and in the selection process, the mirror gradient turned out to be the best. Various structures were also designed, such as metal foundations and glass fasteners. All this was done to create a subtle neat silhouette of the lamp.
"Double Moon" is a gravitational capture phenomenon where, in addition to a single permanent natural satellite, the Moon, the Earth has a second, temporary satellite. This rare phenomenon occurred in 2024. And it became a source of inspiration for the creation of this collection of lamps. Celestial bodies have always been a source of light for people day and night. And they have always inspired people to create artificial light sources.
