Unique Properties

Production Technology

Loklik Ipaint has a simple appearance, a scientific structural design, and a modern and artistic color scheme. The main structure is wear resistant using aluminum alloy precision rails with a dark gray oxidation process technology. With high quality ABS material and a matte texture on the surface, the overall style is smooth and mellow. Some of the internal metal parts use electroplating technology to ensure that they will not rust after long term exposure, thereby improving the durability and environmental protection of the machine.

Design Challenge

Loklik Ipaint fills the market gap for intelligent oil painting machines. Through detailed and scientific research methods, the target audience and user needs are gradually clarified. AI technology achieves better results in digital painting through extensive algorithm training and manual debugging. Relying on a strong supply chain and production capacity, this innovative, smart machine is easy to use, high quality, and affordable.

Project Duration

It was initiated in Changsha, China, in January 2024 and jointly developed by Foshan, Shenzhen, and Dongguan. It will be launched in the US and European markets around May 2025.

Operation Flow

The machine hardware adopts a minimalist design concept, with only two buttons, power and pause. After pressing the power button to turn on the machine, it can connect to a mobile phone or computer via bluetooth or USB cable. The supporting self developed software can realize functions such as picture uploading, AI style conversion, AI generated pictures, picture processing, line drawing processing, painting task management, pigment color matching viewing, etc.

Research

We collected information from artists, parent child families, arts and craft KOLs through questionnaires, offline seminars, and online interviews. We clarified user portraits, product function requirements, and marketing strategies. The results show that married women aged 35 to 44 with children pursue emotional value and parent child interaction and are eager to have a machine that can provide mass design resources, convert pictures into line drawings, and erase drafts by thermal.

Inspiration

The paint by number market has grown significantly in recent years with an annual growth of 300 percent. Many painting lovers are eager to seek more creative and engaging painting experiences. People with no painting skills or who are physically disabled hope to realize their painting dreams. Loklik Ipaint, born with AI technology, intelligent software, and hardware, provides users with a highly personalized, high quality, cost effective, simple, and convenient oil painting creation experience.

Project Overview

Loklik Ipaint Painting Plotter has been a Bronze winner in the Prosumer Products and Workshop Equipment Design award category in the year 2024 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
