Production Technology

All plastic parts of Bora are made of recycled material. A sign has been placed on each part that shows the type of the materials used in production of such part and this facilitates the recycling. After 3 years of researches in R&D department, all parts are designed so that they can be assembled quickly with a minimum error rate.As a result of those economical designs, the production cost has decreased, therefore more products were produced. Thanks to the newly designed filtering system, no suction loss will occur in Bora. This allows getting more vacuuming performance with less motor power.

Design Challenge

Our team worked on making every part simple; easy to mold and assemble for production, easy to use, easy to clean for end user . It was challenging when creating a spongeless double suction system that keeps all the dust in water without letting water drops reach motor.The dominant function of Bora is functionality, therefore Bora has a modest design that completes this functionality.It is an innovative product with the worlds first vacuum lock mechanism which makes the unique plug and play vacuum cleaner in the market.

Project Duration

The project has a background of 10 years of extensive research. Analyzing all the feedback from previous models, development for the concept of Bora took 3 years.The project started in August 2007 and it was launched into market in September 2010 in Turkey.

Operation Flow

The users will not require anything else than 1. 2 liter of water to clean their homes.Because of the vacuum look, in order to start the vacuum cleaner, all you have to do is to fill the tank with water and place it into the body, no other action, like locking the tank to the body, is needed.The hose is connected to the main body instead of the water tank. This allows the user to remove the water tank for filling or emptying without the need of removing the hose.Because the water tank is like a bucket and each element can be removed, the cleaning of the vacuum cleaner is made simple. The user can reach each portion of the water tank.

Research

There are sponges in the competitors’ vacuum cleaners which may result bacterial growth.To make a filtration system without sponges ,hundreds of prototypes for water filtering system has been made and tested in the laboratories. As a result of those researches, the double suction feature, which allows water to keep the dust in a better way, has been developed. It is tested and approved that Bora will not let dust to escape in Chinese laboratories.
