This stool is designed to help one to maintain neutral sitting-standing posture. By observing people’s daily behavior, the design team found the need for people to sit on stools for a shorter period of time such as sitting in the kitchen for a quick break, which inspired the team to create this stool specifically to accommodate such behavior. This stool is designed with minimal parts and structures, making the stool affordable and cost-efficient for both buyers and sellers by taking into account the productivity of manufactures.

Design Challenge
This stool is made with minimal parts and minimal constructs. It was difficult to device those constructs and parts.
Project Duration
The project started in November 2015 in Fukuoka Japan and finished in April 2015, and was sales released in April 2015 in japan.
Operation Flow
Use this stool in the middle position of a sit and stand. And it can be used for multi-purpose in various situations. For example, when taking a small break during cooking, Extra chairs for parties, etc. It does not take the place if you put against a wall in a compact, light and even feel free to move to where easy to hold.
Research
We started the research to develop tools and solve the dissatisfaction in everyday life situations and find the needs of people wanting to take a break in everyday life situations. Based on the findings we actively utilized the advanced tensioning technology of wood processing and rounding with the Numerically Controlled machine. We focused on developing eco-friendly production by using the scrap materials in the sofa during the manufacturing process.
Inspiration
In the living space, dining chairs and relaxation sofas have been proposed as necessary furniture already. However, when we analyzing actual behavior, it was found that there were many situations where a chair was required to hold the posture of movement in the middle of standing and sitting. We found the possibility of a high stool that can sit in a posture close to standing.
