Smart Cat Litter Box for Shenyang LEZA technology Co., Ltd.
This is a litter box with automatic operation and health monitoring function. This product can automatically clean up after the cat is excreted, and automatically fill it when the cat litter is insufficient. It can be interconnected with cell phones to analyze the cat’s life patterns through data network and AI, and digitally present the cat’s health status. It is designed to be integrated into the home environment. A variety of stickers can be selected at the entrance of the litter box to show the personality of the cat owner.

Unique Properties
The product is adopted in modules. The automatic cleaning and filling module defines the cat can use clean litter when the owner goes out for a whole week. Dual detection module uses infrared and gravity to provide security for the cat. The automatic disinfection module can timely disinfect the excreta of the cat after the cat leaves, reducing the risk of ordo and bacterial infection. At the same time, the intelligent system can monitor the cat's health status according to its defecation.

Production Technology
With shell molding ABS, PP. The cat litter box is connected to the mobile phone through WiFi, and the health data of the pet can be viewed on the mobile phone. Automatic filling cat litter module provides about 2 kg of cat litter storage space.
Design Challenge
The biggest challenge is clear calibration products doperating logic and human-computer interaction, coordination of product modeling and function, to ensure the accuracy of the data.
Project Duration
The project started in Shenyang, China in December 2019 and completed the first prototype in December 2020.
Operation Flow
After the cat goes to the toilet, it will clean up automatically. The filling module defines the cat can use clean litter when the owner goes out for a whole week. People can be reminded to add cat litter voluntarily through mobile Internet. Automatic filling cat litter module provides about 2 kg of cat litter storage space.
Research
With the development of the COVID-19, the pet health is becoming clearer focus on goals. The design team surveyed about 500 participants and found that most were more concerned about the internal cleanliness of the litter box, the ease of changing litter and other additional features. So smart cat sand basin design project is to improve the quality of mixed state security and, at the same time to provide cat really clean and healthy environment.
Inspiration
The busy lives of cat owners often make them forget to clean the litter box and are troubled by the smell. The owners usually don’t know the cat’s health information in time, etc. In order to have a better user experience, the R&D team got inspiration from the coffee grinder and designed a visual functional module that automatically fills the cat litter. The dual monitoring mode ensures the safety of cats excreting inside the litter box and can provide the cat's gastrointestinal health data.
Project Overview
LEMO PET-01 Smart Cat Litter Box has been a Silver winner in the Pet Care, Toys, Supplies and Products for Animals Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Silver A' Design Award celebrates top-tier designs that embody excellence and innovation. This award acknowledges creations that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, reflecting the designer's deep understanding and skill. Silver A' Design Award recipients are recognized for their contribution to raising industry standards and advancing the practice of design.
