It is made of the most representative handmade blue and white porcelain in Jingdezhen and fired at 1300 degrees. For the two designers, each design work is a unique artistic expression.
The project aims to explore and extract the connotation of Chinese traditional culture and visual symbols of traditional culture, and interpret the cultural elements of the East and the West in an international perspective and design expression through modern design concepts and aesthetic fashion
The project was held in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province in June 2021 and submitted for completion in December 2021.
Hand create graphic elements about the theme of the year of the tiger, and then make them into blue and white paper. Cut and paste them on ceramic tableware for orderly and rhythmic arrangement. After firing at 1300 degrees, the work is finally formed
Taking the tiger of the Chinese Zodiac as the design theme, they jointly designed a household ceramic, understood many tiger related cultures, and interpreted the Oriental and Western cultures of the times with ceramic techniques, thus making a new breakthrough in the ceramics of the Chinese zodiac in 2022.
The tiger is the most popular mascot among the twelve zodiac animals, symbolizing ferocity, perseverance and vitality. In nature, people regard the tiger as the king of all animals, with the inherent king style. It is a cultural totem respected by people, endowed with many beautiful meanings of auspiciousness and blessing, and an important expression of "the picture must be intentional and the meaning must be auspicious" in Chinese traditional culture.
Tiger 2022 Ceramic Tableware has been a Iron winner in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design award category in the year 2021 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards.
