The work is based on the water ripples, and it turns the natural scene into an interactive rocking chair that allows you to sit or lie down on the chair as if the body swings carefreely along with the movements of water ripples. The characteristic of it is the flowing texture of water ripples. No matter indoors or outdoors, especially where there is light, its water ripples will show natural light and shadow through the ground. It's like a ripple sculpture with artistic conception when it is at rest; however, it becomes a fascinating piece of furniture when an interaction occurs.

Design Challenge
When making this work, the material has the characteristics of generating high temperature during the process of changing from liquid to solid, and there will be countless small bubbles, but the formation of these bubbles makes the whole work closer to the natural image and effect, and The state of ripples in nature is echoed.
Project Duration
The project started in December 2022 and finished with installation in Taichung,Taiwan in February 2023
Operation Flow
To make a chair requires 56 kilograms of material to meet the structural safety requirements of being solid and having an average thickness of four centimeters. Because the material is transparent, the biggest challenge is how to keep it intact during the molding process without any cracks, because any small flaws will affect the safety and beauty of the overall structure.
Research
The appearance and structure of this fully transparent chair not only has practical functions, but more importantly, it enhances and satisfies the user's pleasant feeling and comfortable interactive mood during use. The characteristic and challenge of this work is to present the texture of water. Because it is transparent, it is easy to integrate into various environmental spaces of different styles. Whether it is indoors or outdoors, especially where there is light, its water ripples will show natural light and shadow through the ground.
Inspiration
Inspired by Ripples. It presents the image of the condensed state of ripples flowing up and down, just like the frozen water surface, bringing users an interesting and novel atmosphere. As a result of the designer's passion for research and development of new techniques, this work is not only made of fully transparent materials, but the appearance itself has a safe structure and interactive functions. This is a sculpture and a A chair that can interact with people makes users feel like sitting on water ripples, and can swing freely with their mood, adding to the fun of life.
