Sculpture Lamp for Giuseppe Tortato Architetti
Halfway between art and design, Embrasse Moi is the majestic light sculpture whose name recalls the play on words between the English brass and the lamp's curved, enveloping shape. The suspension lamp has been handcrafted: a large sculpture in burnished brass that recalls the DNA strand, the weave of which unfolds like a fil rouge throughout the space, giving every project an artistic accent that makes it unique.

Designed with parametric software and handcrafted brass
The challenge was to create a continuous ribbon that ran vertically between all the floors. The need to contain weights and distribute loads as evenly as possible was the main focus of the constructive thinking behind this installation. Dimensions and thicknesses were selected to achieve the lowest possible weight per linear meter, while respecting the use of materials chosen by the Art Direction, which at the same time ensure a high standard of safety. For construction and transportation reasons, the structure will be built in sections, with the tighter spirals and twists worked on special sections of shorter length. The individual segments will then be joined at the ends with internal reinforcement plates secured by safety bolts on the outside with the same finish. The assembly involves the installation of some steel tensioners, which will be anchored to the brass frame at critical points to support the weight and maintain the shape
The project started in January 2022 in Milan and ended in September 2022 in Milan. It is displayed in the reception and on the stairs of the building at Via Negri 4
The sculpture lamp, Embrasse Moi, is a large sculpture in bronzed brass that evokes the DNA filament, whose texture unfolds like a red thread throughout the space, giving each project an artistic accent that makes it unique
A new sculptural lamp that fits into a historic building like a single ribbon, with a vertical development across all floors. Its relative lightness has allowed for the Art Direction's desire for a suspension system that is not overly invasive, consisting of a number of thin, low-visual-impact steel fixing cables.
Embrasse Moi is a piece of art designed with parametric software and handcrafted, maintaining a unique and sinuous design. The inspiration comes from the spirals of DNA and the possibility, through craftsmanship, to bend a difficult material like bronze.
