Goldrify is a personalized chandelier reflecting Asian beliefs and culture with an unrepeating rearrangeable pattern generated by the given lucky numbers of each personal preference. By using handmade glass designed in gold leaf shape, the creation of a symmetric yet dynamic and natural visual connection is revealing, with the simple form of glass, allows one to easily and flexibly arrange patterns on any shape, using a technique of gold leaf gliding on surface, implication of wealthy and healthy which inspired by Goldgliding in Thai culture.

Unique Properties
Goldrify chandelier is designed to compromise between belief and physical aesthetics in the scope of personalization, which allows adjusting sizing and rearranging patterns according to the given lucky number and generated by script to create unrepeated patterns under the concept of gold gliding from Buddhist Thai culture, which overlaying gold leaf on the sacred surface, with a gold leaf designed shape, square golden glass sheet allows to array along the surface with visually connected, while the patterns itself create an outline surface following each space.

Production Technology
From a physical point of view, the glass is made by handcrafting and blowing techniques, which are guided by a 3D model, Intended to create a natural and reduced industrial environment. For a digital world, we create a python script to create a parametric arrangement according to the difference in sizing and shape. While generating an infinite never-repeating pattern according to the given number.
Design Challenge
The challenge is how to turn subjective such as belief into the physical form of a chandelier. Since belief is a personal perspective, it is challenging to create a physical form of a chandelier with a similar understanding and perception from a different cultural point of view.

Operation Flow
Goldrify is composed of a goldleaf-shaped glass module, which is lightweight, allowing installation without any support above the ceiling. Since Goldrify is freely installed, the possibility of a suitable shape to be recreated with any space is widely open while the pattern is also freely arranged in the area, leading to the unrepeatable gold gliding-like patterns arraying on an invisible surface. Together with the simple shape of glass rotation and direction can visually connect in any axis which keeps the overall surface look connected.
Research
Since chandeliers started in Europe, they have been full of imported designs in Asia. But lacking chandeliers in Asian perception that fit Asian context, architecture, and culture. From our experience in this market, we got an opportunity to interview customers, which led us to understand that from a Buddhist country's point of view, a significant object such as a chandelier is an item that needs to fulfill not only appearance. But the story and beliefs behind it are also keys to complete their satisfaction.
Inspiration
Goldrify chandelier is inspired by Thai culture all Buddhists glide a gold leaf on the Buddha statue to complete the true body appearance believing it supplements their splendor, dignity, and luck as a gift from Buddha assistance. Under this inspiration, emotional and cultural value has been driven over function and luxury. Shape itself reflects the technique of Goldgliding in Thai culture which tries to connect with the beliefs of supplementing the owner's luck.
