It found that the sense of multiple arrays evokes a familiar feeling in East Asian culture, reflected in items like water wheels, tea brushes, scrolls, bamboo blinds, fans, and lantern frameworks. These complex, geometric forms repeat in lines, inspiring the creation of the elongated Churros lamp. The new old tube light. Churros combines the warmth of wooden strips with minimalist order, creating volume and offering both upward and downward light, providing even illumination and enhancing spatial layering.

The New Old Tube Light - Churros I not only utilizes the warmth provided by wooden strips but also finds minimalist order within multiple arrays, creating a sense of volume in the lamp. Functionally, it offers both upward and downward light sources, providing even illumination on tabletops while also offering indirect lighting above the lamp, enhancing the spatial layering.

The goal of the Churros Lighting Collection is indeed to reuse materials from the original space. This approach not only minimizes waste but also ensures that each lamp is uniquely tied to its environment, emphasizing sustainability through the repurposing of local resources. The design aims to reduce the environmental footprint by integrating recycled materials, promoting a circular economy, and supporting localized craftsmanship.
The lighting design started in 2023 and finished in May in 2024, and was launched in 2024 in Taiwan.
Functionally, it offers both upward and downward light sources, providing even illumination on tabletops while also offering indirect lighting above the lamp, enhancing the spatial layering.
In the 19th century, the invention of the light tube led to the creation of explosion-proof lights for industrial use—now iconic vintage items. What if we reimagined an industrial-style explosion-proof light tube with an Oriental twist? We found that the sense of multiple arrays resonates in East Asian culture, appearing in objects like water wheels, bamboo blinds, and lanterns. This inspired the creation of the elongated lamp resembling "churros."
