The aesthetic feeling of biological form is integrated into the design to meet the functional requirements of tables and chairs. Material selection of steel and plastic, easy to form a strong color contrast. The difficulty lies in the study of the form of design and the use of materials.

Unique Properties
The spider is a very dexterous animal. The design of the dining table and chairs incorporates the feeling of spider form, which feels very flexible and breathable. The project hopes to combine product aesthetics with product practicality. Its supporting part is made of CNC milled white steel with simple lines and a sense of power. It is suitable for modern interior decoration.

Production Technology
The supporting part of the dining table and chair is made of white steel, which is processed by CNC milling or mold casting technology, the seat surface and backrest are made of plastic, and the surface is processed by injection molding, and through the assembly of parts to achieve rapid installation.
Design Challenge
How flexible spider sense of style combined with furniture, and select the appropriate materials are designed with the greatest challenge encountered in the design, followed by the use of two materials, how to merging two different material properties.
Project Duration
The design project began in January 2019 in Shenyang, was completed in June 2019, and was exhibited in the art museum of Shenyang Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in June 2019.
Operation Flow
When sitting on the leisure armchair, the seat back fit back together the human form, can assist people to make the right posture for dining, reading and other activities.
Research
The spider shape is applied to the dinette, there is a sense of power lines and tough, simple and concise material. Under the premise to achieve the functionality of the product, it will be reflected in the form of beauty. Chairs support portion be of steel production, strong and stable structure, with large areas of black plastic, simple pure material, color contrast in appearance, strong production operability.
Inspiration
Ensure the breathability and flexibility of the product is the design principle of the product, this dining table and chair in the design combined with the form of the spider, its flexibility and strength reflected in the design, the table and chair disassemble simple, can be parts stacked convenient transportation. Choose the main body frame that white steel pledges serves as desk and chair, use deft plastic to serve as chair seat and desktop, reflect the contracted style of contemporary furniture.
Project Overview
Black Steel Novelty and Comfortable has been a Bronze winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology.
