This design is the leisure furniture that is composed by chair and footstool, the radian of chair is natural and graceful which accords with human engineering. This seating design is accompanied by a natural original flavor and a stable structure the function is reasonable, the line is concise and fluent. The stool faces of arc, with the circular stainless steel tube handrail echo each other, and the winding of the cloth art makes the whole tough with softness, fully reflecting its comfortable function and the rationality of the material application.

Unique Properties
It is a set of casual furniture made up of chair and footstool. They retain the original properties of the material itself, which returns to simplicity and truth. The structure is stable, the process is simple. The radians of the chair are natural and ergonomic. The metal adopts numerical control machining technology, outer wrapped dark gray thick hemp cloth, with Brazilian pear wood shows composed and quiet. The back of the chair is designed simple and generous.

Production Technology
The main material of furniture is Brazilian flower pear wood, strainless steel tube, thick hemp cloth strip. The solid wood part adopts the modern numerical control processing technology, through the machine cutting and the manual polishing processing molding, the metal connector is electroplated after CNC machining, the last will be wrapped around the circular strainless steel tube to complete the seat production.
Design Challenge
The biggest challenge is how to preserve the original beauty of the material and design an ergonomically comfortable leisure chair.
Project Duration
The design project began in January 2019 in Shenyang, was completed in June 2019, and was exhibited in the art museum of Shenyang Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in June 2019.
Operation Flow
The overall framework is all made ofsolid wood from the log cuttingto the production completed, and then decorated withmetal line, strong and beautiful. Sitting on a chair, the arms can be crossed on the ring shaped handrails, the seat back fits the back shape of a person, which can help people to make a correct sitting posture, the legs can be placed on the pedals, which is suitable for entertainment, reading and other activities.
Research
The stool surface of arc, with the circular stainless steel tube handrail echo each other, cooperate the winding of cloth art, it is to make Chinese style element have a perfect embodiment in this furniture. A complete set of furniture uses Brazilian rosewood, stainless steel tube, thick linen strip to undertake combinatorial design, the three materials are quickly spliced, and the curve of the seat is naturally curved. It is the second innovation to new Chinese style furniture.
Inspiration
The design was inspired by the beauty of the original wood. By combining the traditional Chinese furniture, making full use of the advantages and characteristics of the material itself, the design of this group was completed by using the classical wood treatment method combined with the tenon structure, like puzzles, quickly mix with the assembled three materials. We wanted to create an emotional chair, after working, I believe that this casual seating can make you relaxed.
Project Overview
Ring Chair Novelty and Comfortable has been a Bronze winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
