Ceramics
The main technological challenge was to achieve a Proper surface of objects. As you know, it is quite difficult to get Uniform curvature in ceramics, and especially in porcelain. It was possible to solve this problem by selecting the computer 3D modeling and 3D printing, then mass production was carried out according to the 3D model.
The project started in February 2020 in ChongQing and finished in July 2020 in ChongQing.
The Panda-Themed Tea Set adds joy and relaxation for tea lovers both at home and during travel. Further, the tea set can be placed as decoration on dinner tables or book shelves.
How to simplify the the essence of panda is a key element of the design language of this project. The designer extracted the essence of pandas, namely loveliness, into the design of this tea set, and simplified design elements to combine with the practical structure of the tea pot and cups. Through user trials and habit analysis the designer optimized the set’s component parts and overall size in ways that make the final product exquisite in appearance, intuitive to use and durable. As part of the design, study different types of materials were tested such as combines glossy white and matt black surfaces in order to create a pleasant handling experience. At last, the final product covers functionality, aesthetics and technology together.
