Unique Properties

This is an artistic container, it can be used as a vase and aromatherapy container, it can be hung on the wall or placed on the table. This product is produced using 3D printing technology, which can be customized with different colors and surface effects to meet different home scenarios (especially artistic and personalized home styles).

Production Technology

It's produced by 3D printing technology, the optional materials are PLAABS, etc., with different colors and surface effects.

Design Challenge

Using 3D printing materials can have a variety of color effects, but there is no surface effect of mirror reflection. After many experiments, it was finally determined that silver spray paint can be used to achieve the mirror effect (Use high pressure spray paint to the inside of the vase first, then the outside）

Project Duration

The project started in April 2021 Ocboter in Hangzhou and finished in February 2022 in Hangzhou.

Inspiration

Since diversified and artistic interior styles prevail, and this artistic container can be used in different scenarios. It can be wall mounted or placed on a desktop. It can be used as a vase as well as an aromatherapy container. The design was inspired by doorplates and wine bottles (in the 1990s - my childhood, when it was popular in China to use discarded wine bottles as vases).

Project Overview

Jiao Vase and Aromatherapy has been a Bronze winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2021 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
