Seating for Emotional Objects
Joao Faria drew the Lazy Day Collection in 2014, but he only launched it in 2020. The armchairs and sofas' designs are original, edgy and sophisticated, with two slightly different versions: Classic and Modern. The most remarkable feature is the rounded back, made with carefully book matched wood veneers. In November 2020, Interior Design Magazine featured this sofa as a statement seat.

Lazy Day is a collection of armchairs and sofas for two or three seats. Its most remarkable feature is the rounded wooden back, simple but at the same time very sophisticated. The collection has two versions, the Classic and the Modern, with slight differences in their feet and finishes. Besides the combinations proposed by Joao Faria, custom-made options are available for clients.

The Lazy Day collection has a complex construction method. The wooden structure is made with several interior layers of MDF and aluminum to give it the much-needed resistance. Under the upholstery, there is also a sub-structure to allow the fabric its perfect feet to form. The feet are in steel with gold paint or brushed stainless steel. The wooden structure is veneered with the most exquisite wood leaves, with a satin finish (in the Modern version) or a high-gloss finish (in the Classic version).
The biggest challenge of the Lazy Day Collection was creating an original design in a field where are thousands of different options. It had to be sophisticated and edgy at the same time. When Joao achieved the final design form, he immediately started the prototypes. He has developed a construction method that guarantees the sofa's sturdiness, mainly for the three-seat size. After that, the upholstery was also a challenge due to the sleek lines requiring immaculate stitching. All these problems are solved now, and the collection has been a success.
Joao Faria drew the first sketches of this collection in 2014; however, he only made the prototype in 2020. After its launch in November 2020, Interior Design Magazine featured this sofa as a "statement seat".
These sofas and armchairs are perfect for contemporary modern living rooms, as a set or individually.
The inspiration for our objects comes from the most unusual ways. But we are passionate about our work, and every time we have an idea, we give it a name and a number and explore it until its last consequences. If it is original, we will find a way to make it. Sometimes it's a fast process; other times, it can take years, like this collection. Designed for modern and contemporary living rooms, the Lazy Day Collection is perfect for being the space's centerpiece. Joao Faria created this object in 2014 in Portugal. The prototype was made only em 2020, after some years of research and design maturation.
There is nothing like a rainy day, curling on your favorite sofa, warm and cozy with your significant other, watching a movie, reading a book, or surfing online. LAZY DAY is the perfect companion for those beautiful days. Enjoy it as we do.
