The formation of Chinese "Ritual and Music Culture" is based on the harmony of heaven and earth and nature, which represents the spirit of Harmony and the natural order of heaven and earth. All things can be born because of the existence of harmony (the spirit of music). The designers seized the beauty of the rituals and rhythms in the "Ritual and Music Culture" to craft this chair that combines both Chinese and Western cultures, to perpetuate the amazing culture that has developed along with human civilization in an innovative form.

Unique Properties

The formation background of Chinese "LIYUE" is based on the harmony between heaven and earth, the spirit of "music" and the natural order of heaven and earth. "Harmony" (the spirit of Music), so everything can be incarnated. Designers grab the beauty of rules and rhythms in the "etiquette and music culture" to create this chair that combines Chinese and Western cultures, and continue the etiquette and music culture developed with human civilization in an innovative form.

Production Technology

Liyue adopts more modern production materials, which not only retains the structure of traditional wooden seats, but also facilitates the integration of products into modern interior decoration without being abrupt. The distance from the stool face of the chair to the ground and the whole height form a ratio of 9:37. At the same time, the distance from the dummy standard line at the waist to the ground and the whole height form an approximate golden ratio of 5:8.

Design Challenge

Good design means as few designs as possible, which is also the consistent design concept of Liyue.

Project Duration

The project was launched in Nanchang, China in December 2021 and completed in Nanchang, China in February 2022.

Operation Flow

Polypropylene environmental protection plastic material is processed by CNC machining center, which can achieve 99.9% recycling rate. Some ingredients are American DuPont PA materials, which are non-toxic, odorless, 100% recyclable and conform to the concept of sustainable development. It is the minimalism that Liyue pursues by simplifying parts and components and maximizing the ease of use of products to achieve beautiful and durable results.

Research

The firm and accurate arc backrest keeps the body against the curve to ensure that the user can get effective support when lying down. The circular arc shape maximizes the user's reclining space, enables the chair to adapt to people of different body types, and ensures that every user can get the best care.

Inspiration

This is a Chinese armchair with Bauhaus style. It gives new life to Chinese furniture with the main tone of ancient Chinese "LIYUE" culture and the simple modern style.
