Production Technology

The lamp uses glass blowing technology, which results in each product having a unique surface texture due to the different density of the material surface. The lamp body emits light in two ways, with the bright light of the sphere’s hole directly illuminating the area, and the other parts of the sphere faintly diffusing the light through the irregular translucent texture, creating a natural and harmonious mood.

Design Challenge

The challenge was to create a post-modernist style lamp that reflects the beauty and artistic conception of the universe while also functioning as a practical lamp. The glass blowing technique was used to create a unique surface texture for each product, and the lamp's design combines irregular colors and lights to form a natural and harmonious mood.

Project Duration

The project begins in China in July 2022 and ends in China in October 2022.

Operation Flow

The luminaire creates a quiet and relaxing lighting atmosphere for users at night, relieving the stress of daily life.

Research

The beauty of the universe's diversity and mystery inspires humans to explore space continually. The lamp's colors and irregular patterns reflect the changeable colors and beauty of planets, which is due to the processing technology that creates subtle uncertainty, constituting the beauty of nature.

Inspiration

The surface of the spherical lampshade coincides with the surface of the planet. The irregular colors and lights are organically combined to create a post-modernist style lamp with a sense of beauty and artistic conception. When not in use, it is another beautiful space decoration.

Project Overview

Space Lamp has been a Iron winner in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change. These designs are a testament to the skill and dedication of their creators, showcasing their ability to address real-world challenges through thoughtful design.
