Joy is an aesthetic, shimmering, and ergonomic large series of glasses that meets all your needs. Due to its form, it is produced from a single-piece press mold in automatic press manufacturing, ensuring cost-effectiveness and production efficiency. Its form and engravings provide a texture that is comfortable to hold, not bothering the hand, and even gives a sensation of pleasure and happiness, just like its name suggests. Its open mouth structure also provides extra comfort for hot beverages.
Sustainability, recycling, classic, ergonomic
It is soda glass produced in machines using the Auto press method.
A glass shape was developed based on the dried paradise palm fruit, that meets the product expectation of the single-piece press method in terms of angle and form. The production underwent three form changes. The most challenging part of the process was achieving the fluidity of the form and the angles for the molds to come out smoothly. Since efficiency in production is a crucial point for the factory, form should have satisfied both the designer's vision and the factory's requirements.
The project, which started in February 2023, was completed in December 2023 and exhibited at the Frankfurt Ambiente 2024 fair.
Its form and engravings provide a texture that is comfortable to hold, not bothering the hand, and even gives a sensation of pleasure and happiness, just like its name suggests. Its open mouth structure also provides extra comfort for hot beverages.
The aim of the project was to create a sparkling and glamorous product while keeping costs low. A series with a classic style close to traditional aesthetics, yet incorporating cut engravings in line with current trends, was targeted. The product's flexible form was created by researching various natural elements and developed based on the dried paradise palm fruit form during the research. Through the process, an agreement was reached to achieve the most efficient and aesthetically ideal form.
It is a design defined by the combination of natural and geometric lines, inspired by the ''dried paradise palm fruit''.
