Design Challenge
Achieving the best sound experience acquire the most greatest patience to evaluate every creative and alternative solutions. Every possible solutions were verified thru many trial and errors and countless testing before it was deemed a complete product solution.
Project Duration
The project started in April 2018 in Australia and completed in November 2018, and was sold on Amazon USA.
Operation Flow
Place your cell phone on the slot stand and it will deliver a rich, clearer and more natural sounds from its unique mechanically engineered design.
Research
Sound Wave Reflection. Echoes are the sound of your own voice reflecting back to your ears.The sound is enhance caused by an accumulation of reflected sound waves off the walls built in the Akoustand. The sound wave will continue to bounce around in Akoustand, or reverberate, until it has lost all its energy.
Inspiration
There is a high demand for a Non-electric speaker in the market. Unfortunately, the current Non-electric speakers selling on the market either could not put it in the backpack or does not have the ability to enhance the sound performance from the cell phone. Our design direction for the next generation speaker is to synthesize a mechanical solution with a design that blend seamlessly with lightweight, compact and mobility.
Project Overview
AkouStand Acoustic Amplifier Stand has been a Bronze winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
