Vase for Tainan University of Technology/Product Design Deparment
The handcrafted flower vase was produced by 400 pieces of precision laser cutting sheet metal with different thicknesses, stacking layer by layer, and welded piece by piece, demonstrating an artistic sculpture of flower vase, presented in a detailed pattern of the canyon. Layers of stacking metal shows the texture of canyon section, also increasing the scenarios with different ambient, creating irregularly changing natural texture effects.

Production Technology
After precise calculation and modeling of computer 3D program, laser cutting technology of sheet metal factory is used to cut more than 400 sheets of sheet metal materials with different thicknesses. , The shape and size of each piece at the end of the process are different, and then use laser marking technology to mark the more than 400 pieces of metal sheet to determine the position, and then polish and polish the surface before coating The color was then fixed with unique clamping and fixture tools, and each piece of sheet metal was stacked and combined with laser fiber welding technology.
Design Challenge
400 pieces of laser cutting sheet metal with different thicknesses of 1 to 3mm, and laser marking technology to mark the 400 pieces of metal sheet to determine the position, is the most challenging procedure. Each pieces of metal surface polish before coating, creating irregularly changing natural texture effects. During jump welding and welding, cooling gas is continuously blown to avoid thermal deformation, and laser fiber welding will not produce molten slag. Luxurious color by titanium plating in batches, making a fine piece of sheet metal craftsmanship and art.

Operation Flow
Canyon, the handcrafted flower vase was produced by stacking of many pieces of layer metal cut out by laser cutting technology and welded piece by piece, layer by layer. It can be regarded as an artistic sculpture of interior space. Since then, it can be an artistic flower vase, and can be an independent sculpture for interior decoration too. When placing flowers, it will simulate the rich terrain of the canyon, the resulting structural shape creates a different visual orientation, allowing viewers to have more visual possibilities.
Research
Try to study traditional laser cutting metal processing methods, are there other new possibilities? And hope to be able in combination with new technical methods, it can make traditional metal crafts have artistic value and make people understand metal crafts Have a new imagination in the modern living space. method: 1. By understanding the processing limitations of metal cutting and trying to break through. 2. Introduce new technology, the laser welding process breaks through metal deformation limits. 3. Design combined with natural imagery and produce craftsmanship Sculpture with art.
Inspiration
With the concept of canyon terrain, layered sheet metal stacked texture, symbolizing the earth's accumulation and change over the past hundreds of millions of years, the overall momentum is majestic and represents the respect and praise of nature.
